We know visiting a new church can be intimidating.
‘What do I wear? What about my kids? Where do I go? What can I expect?’
We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church, so we want you to feel right at home when you come.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
There is no dress code for attending services at Timbers Church. Some people dress casually and some dress up - it's all good! You are free to come exactly as you are, so wear whatever you are most comfortable in.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE?
When you arrive at Timbers Church, you will enter in through the main doors. You’ll be greeted with a friendly smile and hello from one of our team members. There will be refreshments for you to enjoy, and you can check your children into our awesome kids’ ministry, Timbers Kids.
WHAT IS SERVICE LIKE?
We start our service with a time of passionate praise and worship. Once worship is over, we jump right into the message, most often communicated by our Lead Pastor, Marcus Refsland. The message usually closes with a brief time to respond to God in both worship and prayer. When the response time has concluded, we will share a few announcements about what is happening at our church and we’ll also offer an opportunity to continue our worship through an offering as we are dismissed.
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
Our Timbers Kids ministry provides a safe and fun experience. Visit the Timbers Kids check-in kiosk where our team will register your child(ren) and give them a name badge with a parent pick-up tag. Please let us know if your child has any allergies or special concerns/requirements during check-in. At the end of service, simply show your parent pick-up tag to the team member upon entrance into the Timbers Kids wing, then to a teacher in your child’s classroom and your child will be released to you.
HOW CAN I MEET OTHERS AND GET CONNECTED?
The best way to get connected is through Compass. Compass is a four-part class that takes you through the story of Timbers, as well as our vision, values, and DNA. Compass then will help guide you to discover your own unique “sweet spots” inside the church so you can join in on what God is doing here.
